Precious fibers from every corner of the world and constant innovation have allowed the fabrics of Ermenegildo Zegna to adapt to everyone's needs. The starting point is wool, like cashmere, mohair, alpaca and merino wool that make it possible to obtain combed fabrics for the warmer months and carded fabrics, thicker and softer, that we associate with winter sweaters. The constant innovation and the artisan know-how have allowed the experts of the Ermenegildo Zegna wool mill to get the best out of the fibers, so as to present a wider range of cashmere and wool with new characteristics suitable for making formalwear or sport jackets.
THE RIGHT FABRIC FOR EVERY OCCASION
It is easy to say wool (or even cashmere) for this reason the Zegna wool factory has been able to stand out with the creation of fabrics like the classic 100% pure merino wool with long fibers (but in the Trofeo 600 version the wool is flanked by silk) , but also the Cashco, Zegna reinterpretation of velvet where wool and cotton come together to create a fresh, informal yet elegant fabric. The fabrics of Ermenegildo Zegna often incorporate elements of centuries-old traditions as well as naturally-colored Oasi Cashmere fibers through techniques already used in the Middle Ages or Elements, based on the observation of nature and able to regulate the body temperature so as to always be perfect in all weather conditions. Without wool, however, is the precious Silk Skin, corduroy that comes from the union of Chinese silk and cotton from Egypt.
